OUR MISSION: Queen of Heaven Parish is a prayerful, vibrant and proactive community sharing Christ's love through numerous ministries.
Baptisms are celebrated bimonthly following the 11 a.m. Mass or as scheduled. Parents having their first child baptized are required to take part in baptismal instruction prior to the baptism. The instruction is offered virtually or by special arrangement. Please call the parish office to register. Always check the bulletin for specific information.
The Eucharist is one of the three Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist). Sharing in the Eucharist for the first time involves entry into a new phase in a person’s faith journey in which s/he enters more deeply into relationship with God and the Catholic Christian Community. Initiation into the Catholic Church in this respect, entails taking on more deeply a Catholic identity of discipleship in Christ. In fact, it means embracing more significantly a life lived in imitation of Christ in conjunction with the whole Catholic Christian Community which is the Body of Christ.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation, also known as Penance or Confession, is that moment of grace whereby one receives the forgiveness for sin won by Jesus Christ on the cross. This sacrament is celebrated to renew the life of grace begun in baptism. Those who follow Christ are called to live lives free of sin. For every Christian the goal is to enter the heavenly paradise, but as the scriptures relate “nothing unclean will enter it.” (Rev. 21:27) Therefore, this sacrament provides the forgiveness of Christ and a remedy for sin.
All Catholics are urged to celebrate this sacrament whenever they are conscious of serious sin. It is recommended that penitents arrive as close to the starting time as possible to ensure adequate opportunity to receive the sacrament. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is also available by private appointment with the priest. If you would like assistance in gaining peace and healing in your relationships with God and His Church, please contact the Parish Office at 330.896.2345 and ask to speak to Father Dave.
Father Dave would love to talk with you in confession either during the times listed in the schedule below or call the church office to make an appointment with him at your convenience.
Confession…There is an “app” for that!
There are several confession apps making it easy for folks to prepare for and go to the Sacrament of Reconciliation. One is called, “iConfess” and “Confession: A Roman Catholic App” and “The Confession App”.
In keeping with Diocesan requirements, arrangements must be made with a priest or deacon at least six months before the date selected for the necessary preparation (Pre-Cana). Please call the parish office at 330-896-2345 to schedule a date and get more information on preparation for the Sacrament of Marriage.
Pre-Cana Days are for couples anticipating the Holy Sacrament of Marriage. The day will include prayer, presentations, quiet reflection time and opportunities for sharing with your fiancé. The Pre-Cana program aims to provide each couple with a reflective and an in-depth preparation for a joyful, faith-filled marriage -- based on love that not only endures but actually grows stronger year after year. We want you to grow more deeply in love and knowledge of each other, but also in your love and knowledge of God. More profoundly, we hope you will see that these loves are intimately related--it takes "Three to Get Married!"
Please go to the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland website for a list of Pre-Cana Day programs that satisfy the requirements for Marriage Preparation as stipulated by the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland.
