Many, many thanks to all who came to have fun...at
the FUNfest. The hundreds of volunteers and thousands who ate of the
tasty food, listened to awesome bands, spent a few quarters at the
games, rode rides, etc. Thank you God for providing great weather…’Not
too hot’ & ‘No rain’ (except a little sprinkle on Sunday, 45 minutes
before start time). Again, thanks for the great effort made by all.
If I begin thanking everyone by name I’d be running out of space using
the whole bulletin and I’d risk missing someone, so let it be said, “You
are all much appreciated!” However, by name I’d like to thank the
Committee heads: Don Dixon, the Chair of it all, Tammy Dixon heading
prizes, Jim Abbott, Paul Bukovesky and Gio on set-up, Doug Cincurak on
food, Marilyn Tuzzio on kitchen help, Melanie Mesmer on coordinating
volunteers, JJ Boykin, Mike Peyakov, Rick Angeletti and Dan Luff on
outside food. Parish Groups that helped sponsor certain games were:
Young Adults (The Vine) on Karaoke, Marriage Encounter on Mouse Game,
Girls Challenge & Boys Conquest on Popcorn & Cotton Candy. Also, Frank
Mazgaj heading the Casino, Eva & Mike Cercell on the Ice Cream Booth,
Bob Bender and Carol Carter on Trash Detail, Terri Schott and the
Marazito’s Sign Company for their signs, Rain Tree & Prestwick Country
Club for donating the 2 wheels on the Midway, Haymakers for donating 800
+ ears of corn and other veggies, and Gehm & Sons Dry Ice for ice, etc.,
etc., etc. I’m sure there were more I will mention in next weeks
bulletin.
Many thanks to our corporate sponsor, The VanDevere Bunch, for providing
a major discount on the car which was won by Kathy Costin. The $500 cash
prize was won by Carina Klockner, $100 cash prizes were won by; Patty
Hummel, Sue Chassin, Elizabeth Mazgaj, Mike & Maggie Nyeste and Roselyn
Manus. Congratulations to all our winners!!
As far as profits go...that too I’ll let you know as soon as we have the
figures. It looks like we profited at least $20,000. Again, Thank You,
